Exact Sciences to Pay $90,000 to Settle EEOC Age Discrimination Lawsuit

DENVER – Exact Sciences Corporation, a Madison, Wis.-based molecular diagnostics company, will pay $90,000 and furnish other relief to settle an age discrimination lawsuit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the federal agency announced today.

EEOC Launches E-File for Attorneys

WASHINGTON -- The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) announced today the launch of E-File for Attorneys, an application which allows attorneys to submit charges of discrimination electronically on behalf of their clients. Pilots and EEOC Reach Settlement with Frontier Airlines over Lactation and Pregnancy Policies

DENVER – Five pilots and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) have reached a settlement with Denver-based Frontier Airlines resolving EEOC charges filed in May 2018 and a lawsuit filed in December 2019 alleging that Frontier discriminates against pregnant and lactating employees. As part of the settlement, which does not admit any liability, the airline has agreed to several policy changes that will better address the needs of pregnant and lactating pilots.

EEOC and Tapco Agree to Conciliate Discrimination Charge

ST. LOUIS – Tapco Inc, a manufacturer and molder of farm equipment in Bridgeton, Missouri, agreed to conciliate two federal discrimination charges alleging sexual harassment and constructive discharge with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the agency announced today.

WASHINGTON – Karla Gilbride was sworn in today as General Counsel of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). Gilbride was nominated by President Biden on Jan. 3, 2023, and was confirmed by the Senate on Oct. 17, for a four-year term.
