WASHINGTON – Naomi C. Earp, Chair of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), will launch a new Fellows Program to strengthen partnerships with the federal sector and educational communities on Tuesday, May 1, at 2:00 p.m., at agency headquarters, 1801 L Street, N.W.

The EEOC Fellows Program is a new initiative that will provide a unique opportunity for the successful candidates of federal agencies and educational institutions to be contributing members of an EEOC leadership team that shapes policy and processes impacting all employment sectors. The program will allow federal employees, professors, and graduate students to actively engage in research and projects related to eradicating job discrimination and fostering inclusive workplaces.

In addition to Chair Earp and OFO Director Carlton Hadden, invited speakers include:

  • Dr. Joe Cordes, Associate Director, School of Public Policy and Public Administration The George Washington University
  • Dr. Ronald Sanders, Chief Human Capital Officer, National Intelligence Directorate
  • Dr. James Donaldson, Dean, Howard University School of Arts and Science
  • Marcia Coates, EEOC Fellows Executive Director

During the ceremony, Chair Earp will sign a letter to federal agency heads encouraging their support of, and participation in, the program, which was designed by an interagency workgroup led by the EEOC’s Office of Federal Operations (OFO). Further information about the program and nomination submission criteria will be available at the ceremony and posted on the EEOC’s web site.

The EEOC enforces federal laws prohibiting employment discrimination. Further information about the EEOC is available online at www.eeoc.gov.
